power antenna
I have a 1990 300SL, is there an easy way to test the antenna to tell if the antenna is bad or the switch is bad? Any advice would be appreciated.

Go to the forum DIY Articles and look at the 123 antenna replacement article. If your's has failed as most 95% do, it's the rod which drives the antenna. There is a repair kit available.

The motor in the antenna does not seem to run. That is why I think either bad board or bad switch. Any thoughts?

Inside the antenna housing are a pair of limit switches. If the rod breaks or the cam breaks, the switches may not operate properly. I'm afraid the only way to know is to take it out and open it up. If you have a volt meter, you can check for 12Vs at the connection to the antenna housing.
