1984 500SL Brake problem

I have a 1984 MB 500SL, it is the 1st 500SL. It is at my dad's in Vegas and is barely driven. Brought it in for a brake job 2 years ago and put 250 miles on it since. The front right brake is binding, while driving the car pulls to one side and the same on braking.

When jacked up I can barely turn the wheel, I take the wheel off and cannot turn the rotor. I open the bleeder screw and it turns, I bleed it, close the screw drive the car and the same problem. OK I figure bad caliper so I put a new on on. Same problem, any suggesstions?

When you back up your pads can you turn the rotor?
If not you have bad bearings.
If yes the your brake line is cluged up.
Regards,
aam.

Perhaps someone unfamiliar with the car did the brake job. If the bearing runout was wrong or the bearings were packed incorrectly with grease this could happen. If so the bearings may be damaged. Too much grease is actually as bad as not enough.

your brake line has colapsed internaly . replace both front lines . they are fairly cheap and readily available .

I agree, rubber brake hose to the caliper is restricted. Ideally replace all brake hoses because of age.
