89 560sl alarm fuse

It is not in the large fuse block in the passenger footwell. The alarm fuse is in an auxiliary holder under the hood. It is located on the passenger side inner fender adjacent to the 12vdc terminal from the battery. It is under a black plastic cover about 2x2 inches. Under that cover you will find two fuse holders, only one of which has a fuse in it. That fuse is your alarm fuse.

I have found the fuse holder, However it already contains 2 fuses(red) I tried changing them one at a time. still does not work. is there anything else i should try? should there only be one fuse in this case?

If your fuses are good, you have another problem. I can't help further on the alarm issue. Perhaps there is someone else out here that can help. Don't know what the second fuse is for.
