R107, 300sl?
I saw one of these locally for sale, is this just an M103 powered rig? Anything special about it, aside from being Euro?

It is the M103 - nothing special about it except it is rare in the US, and it has the post '86 upgrades. A good one would be good car.

This could have a five speed manual? I may have to go check this out this week here.

Anything is possible..... but 5 speeds are hard to find. I'm watching one a local MB clubmember has. It's an auto, but a nice one owner car. I suspect I'll jump on it if the price is right. Jim

Euro 300SL
Hi
Did you buy it then? As Michael says, they are a great car and if it's still got the Euro emmission system ( no Cat etc) it'll perform better than it's bigger US brothers both in power and MPG. I get mid 20's in m 300SL Auto around town ion British roads and over 30mpg on a run even after over 100K miles. Happy hunting cheers Jim

Not yet, I have been busy moving. Plus I need to sell a few rides before I consider something else.
