4 Tip Exhaust Completed
Phil Here, Would there be a way to adjust the travel limitation on my side widows on the SL. without taking off the door panel? The window on the drivers side goes up to much and interrupts the smooth closing of my door.
I use to do it on my old 450SL but don't know if it's possible on the 500SL. If there is a secret please let me know. 1992 Sweet 500SL Phil Justice |
Side Window Limit Fix?
1 Attachment(s)
Phil Here, Come on guys. I have to lower the upward travel limit on my drivers side window. As a last resort i will take my door panel off but am reluctant to do so. If there is anyway to do this i need to know?
I removed the Chrome plate on my door jam and found a Screw with a sliding "Do-Hickey" attached, the screw is attached to a Plastic piece. The Screw is at It's lowest point in the slot, But again, I don't know if this is an adjustment for the Window height? Please Chime in if you have any info on this subject. 1992 Sweet 500SL Phil Justice |
Phil,,, any door I have ever been into,,, and I've been into a ton, the adjustments are always deep inside the door shell. If there are adjustments for what you need, bets are that the door panel has to come off. Very seriously doubt there is a quick and easy fix,,,, but I may be wrong,,,,,, Just want to let you know, people do read these, and if an answer is out there, it will appear in due time. BTW,,, are those pipes Photoshopped ?

There are front and rear upper stop brackets that can be adjusted. You do need to remove the door liner to get at them. I have not personally done this, the information is from alldatadiy. The adjustment process is complicated, and you should consider getting an alldatadiy subscription or the Mercedes CD if you are going to attempt it.
