Just removed my instrument cluster to begin odometer repair. While disconnecting all wires/harness, etc., I noticed that the oil pressure cable (?) simply pulls off. Now, I have read previous posts and thought this needed to unscrew.
Oil pressure cable is a grey wire with a ribbed black plastic coupler that merely presses onto (fits over) a brass (male) fitting on back of cluster. The brass fitting appears to be solid.
Here's my question: Should this brass fitting be hollow?
Any help appreciated.
