O2 Sensor

I have a 81 380sl. Can anyone tell me where the O2 sensor wire goes after it is connected to the sensor right before the catalytic converter. The last person that had this car cut off this wire and removed it. The car runs terrible, high idle, misfires. Appreciate any help at all thanks RedSL

The wire runs from the sensor to the lambda brain in the passenger footwell, and it goes through the transmission tunnel and under the pass side carpet.

Sounds like you also have idle relay or idle air valve problems, or possibly vacuum leaks.

hi

thanks for the information I will check it out this weekend. I did purchase a new idle control unit and valve and will be installing these also. Is there a special color wire I should be looking for? And is it easy to get to in the footwell? thanks for the help. I am sure I will be back.
