Part number check for 107 bumper shock

Hi all,

I have an OEM front bumper shock by Sachs with the part number 107 880 14 14. I believe it's the passenger side for 1985 and up US SLs. Can someone verify for me? After some research it seems that the same shock is different up to '85....the newer ones being shorter.

Any info on years/application is greatly appreciated.

BTW, some of you may have noticed I haven't been on for a while. After selling my '85 I had to tend to family business. Now I'm the proud owner of a loaded '71 280 SL that's in need of a complete going over. I can't wait to get started.
