Soft Top interchangeability 113 vs R107

[R107-1981]

Hi--

Does anyone know if a soft top from a R107 can be made to fit a 113 230/250/280 SL?

Most of the R107 soft top frame members are adjustable.

Can the frame from a R107 be adjusted to fit the earlier SL? Then use a 230/250/280 SL canvas on a R107 frame?

A stretch, (no pun intended) but can it work?

I don't think it would work unless they have the same part numbers even then the labor rates are to high to save any money.You cant do it yourself without sewing machine,new tops are the way to go.

That would be a miracle. I don't think 113 top prices would be what they are if they interchanged with 107s.

Having lived with a 113 and a 107, I can't imagine that they are interchangable.
