Anyone know this spoiler? (pic inside!!)

Hio,

so, I had this problem awhile back, havent solved it yet. This is my car:

Looking at these pic's, is it standard, or is a front spoiler missing?

If I AM missing a front spoiler (it had a frontal crash, it very well wouldve been destroyed, and lost during the transport), what's the part number? Thanks guys

Franz

Looks like your just missing the chin spoiler...as shown in the pics. I'm not sure of the part number but it merely attaches with shee metal screws (IIRC).

Your best bet is to look here in the classified ads and/or EBay. They are quite expensive otherwise.

An alternative is to go with a 560 SL spoiler which is more aggressive, yet more prone to damage.

Good luck.

From the pic it appears to be the standard spoiler used. Best to check with the seller for fitment.

What year is your car? I could be wrong but I don't think the chin spoilers became standard until 1981.

Yeah, it says that part # on the ebay pic. I orderd it at my mechanic for 125, including screws and taxes. I live in Austria, so getting stuff from the US here is a hassle. My car's 80', but seeing it without the spoiler feels like somethings missing. We are the 3rd owners, and its 14" 15 hole chrome rims werent standard either... so I guess someone "pimped" it, back in the 80's.

The funny thing is, my mechanic ordered the wrong spoiler, the first time around. He had to pay for it, and he has no clue what its used for :S.

You could add a REAL AMG front spoiler? I have one (painted white) for $250.00 It would look nice.. I think.
