Ebay Ad 1986 500SL: Possible odometer fraud...

This car is pretty worn for only having 35k....

Looks like a respray, too.

I don't trust it. Looks like it was pieced together from multiple models. I have a 85 500sl and my engine looks a little different. That one looks more like a 560. Also they spray painted over the soft black rubber trunk spoiler (doomed to crack I think). The front bumper blinker lights look more like the early 350/450Sl type. My engine has 99K and it doesn't look near as tired as that one does, also the black painted valve covers doesn't seem righ for a 500sl either. Also the woodwork in the console looks beat and darker compared to what is in the dash.

The windshield washer bottle looks new (with an old lid) compared to the coolant reservoir. Also the radiator looks like a recent after market installation compared to the engine.
