Interesting eBay Item-Bosch F.D. Rebuild Seals

Search on "BOSCH-FUEL-DISTRIBUTOR-SEAL-KIT-FOR-ROLLS-ROYCE-BENTLEY"

and you will find a seal kit with supposedly everything needed to rebuild the fuel distributor on a 560SL. The seller may have other kits for earlier models. I always wondered where the parts to rebuild these came from.

It is interesting that a part of my car can also be found on a Rolls Royce, heh heh.

I doubt if I would ever do this work (although I have spare 380SL and 560SL cores) because I'd be genuinely afraid of having a leak at the pressures involved in this fuel system. I had some rather extreme excitement years ago, enough for a lifetime, after "rebuilding" a Holley carburetor on a Camaro. If I ever need this, I think I'll go with someone with experience. But I do worry if those people with experience will be around 10 years from now.
