Front Lower Valance Cracked

I am not sure what the official name is for the lower half of the front bumper that keeps hitting curbs(until I got smart enough to not get close) but it is cracked and I am trying to determine what is the best way to get it fixed. Can anyone tell me what the real part name is and/or if there is a way to take it off and get it fixed at a body shop. I have looked in the used parts shops as well as the parts section of this forum and it is not clear to me how to attack this problem.

Thanks

Look in your local phone book. There are shops which specialize in plastic and fiberglass bumper repairs. They come to your home, remove the bumper, take to their shop and repair / repaint it, then bring it back and install it. I had mine done that way and it cost $350. A new bumper at the MB dealer was quoted at $1300 before painting and installation. You can take it off yourself with not too much effort or difficulty, but better to let it to the pros.

Can you post a picture? It's hard to say without seeing how bad it is.
