Front fender removal
Anyone ever removed the front fender on a 107? If so I could use some advice.

I haven't done this yet, but a big bugaboo is the plastic seal beween the outer and "inner" fender. From what I've seen you would need a heck of a heat gun to melt it, or a REALLY careful hand with a propane torch. I am in the middle of a "repair or replace" decision on my slightly rusty 380SL fender, and this is one of the things that's got me nervous about it.

I am working on an '81 and have found that a hair dryer and patience will work on the glue. Can't find my heat gun.
Check BW. My post there got a great response. |
