"Crunchy" gas pedal (95 S320)

Ever since I bought my 1995 S320 a couple months ago, I've been bothered by the feel of the gas pedal under foot. The best way I can describe it is that it feel "cruchy" when I accelerate ... it's not a nice smooth feel under foot as I'm pushing down. Instead, it sort of feels rough ... like something needs lubricating. The feeling is not engine related (I don't think) ... it's as if the pedal sort of "sticks" as I'm pushing down. Is there something under the pedal that I can grease to give a better feel to the pedal? Any ideas?

Tom

Crunch pedal

What you ought to do is check the foot pedal linkage from inside the car
to the compartment, sounds like it might be dragging on something or
wearing out.Check all the linkage then lubricate.

Remove the air box lube the linkage with hydraulic oil,
the same oil that you use fot the soft top.

"foot pedal linkage"??

Thanks, aam, for your reply. I'm not sure, exactly, which part down there is the "foot pedal linkage". I have the diagram, which I attach, but no part is identified as the "foot pedal linkage". Can you tell me which part (using the number on the diagram), I need to work on? Many thanks!!

Tom

I see, lube the 26 and the other side that has no number, 95 and anything that
you see moving after the cable end.
You must remove the air box to see there.

Regards.
