1983 380SL AC Comperssor relay location

I have searched through the forums and Google to find out where the AC compressor relay is located, but haven't found any good leads.

I checked the left and right connector pins when I replaced the center climate control push button head, and the readings indicated that the AC compressor relay is bad. When I turn the AC on, I don't hear anything clicking or engaging to indicate the compressor clutch engaging. The air coming out of the vents seem to be a bit cool, but that could be because the outside temperatures are on the cool side.

I removed the cover under the glove box and looked where the control modules are usually located, but couldn't find a module that looks like the one shown in the attached picture. The only one that seems close enough in proportions and color is marked "001 545 3305 kickdown" and the labels are on the side of the unit instead of the top.

I would appreciate if anyone can point me in the right direction.

Thank you in advance ...

on my 107 it is above the fuse box in the passenger foot well. You need to remove the stainless door threshold guard and then pull that vinyl coated press board piece (the one that the fuse box cover attaches to). Directly above the fuse box should be six relays (windows, starter, fuel pump, aux fan, and 2 more I cant remember).

Remove that cover, you'll see what I mean.

The attached pictures show the fuse box in the passenger foot well, but I don't see anything that resembles the AC compressor relay as shown in the picture in the original post. The first picture shows what looks like the passenger door lower hinge in the bottom right corner. Am I looking in the wrong place?
