My first SL and wondering what something is
 
I finally got my '96 SL500, silver with pano roof ! Absolutely love it - and no rust - never seen a snow flake ! Anyway, I have a question about what some think is. On the interior, just to the left of the rear view mirror is a black bubble like thing next to the driver's visor. Looks like a microphone maybe ? Anyone know what this is and what it is for ?

It's the microphine for the MB installed phone.
