Second opinion on Air con Diagnostics
 

Hi, could someone take a look at the following air con diagnostic readings and tell me if i have a broken evap temp sensor? first series of readings after one hour city driving... 01=20, 02=15, 03=51, 05=28, 06=83. second set having left the car overnight..01=8, 02=8, 03=15, 05=27, 06=18..have read very informative posts by jjrodger on here. I am unsure if the relationships between, in car temp at test 01, outside car temp at 02, and evap temp sensor at 05 constitute illogical readings or not. views highly appreciated indeed jjrodger might even see this.. cheers.. ps. which footwell is the sensor located in a RHD car?

what are these reading refering to? bar, psi where was the readings taken. does you a/c work or not. i might be able to help if i knew what these readings refered to?

Hi perhaps not clear, they are degrees C. first is internal car temp second is outside temp., third is heater core temp., have more or less concluded that temp showing at test #05 is consistently illogical and having evaporator temp. sensor changed tomorrow. Ac working but was behaving oddly on long drives have noted simular patterns discussed around the forums. thanks

There is alot to take into consideration when you take readings. Air condition pressure gauges are needed to find out what's going on.
A temp sensor could be the cause because this is the component that turns on and off the expansion valve per se. Likely? who knows..
Could be anything from electrical connections to a simple charge. Coould be you need a service.
