1982 380sl starter removal

Bad solenoid. Need to remove the starter. I see one nut, on the lower side, but I know there has to be another fastener somewhere on the other side. I have been told to look for a hex or allen bolt. But where? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

If you try to reach the front of the starter where the oil stick is , you can feel it . I had to bend the oil stick little bit to reach it on my 85 SL. Remember to disconnect the negative on the battery before you start your job, the power is connected directly from the battery to your starter . good luck

Actually the top starter bolt goes through the tranmission bell housing into the starter. It requires going in from the back with a 17mm socket long extentions and a swivel.
