Sport Suspension for 1998 SL500
I would like to install a lowered and stiffer suspension for my 1998 SL500. I am thinking of either Brabus or AMG. Does anybody have any experience with any of them? Which one is better? Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Marek. If you go with those tuners. There just getting the springs from other manufacture and putting theren name on it.
I've worked in tuning for mercedes benz for yrs. This is what I recomend. Buy a set of H&R's springs and Bilsiten sport shocks all the way around. You should a drop of approx 1.25-1.50 inches lower. Also the spring pads that the coil springs sit on. There come in differecnt pad thicknesses. I rec going to no#2 springs pads all the way around. Do woory about the swaybar the SL 129 series have a nice fat swaybar in front and rear already. Talk to my friend Raplh. He is a ex tuner for Brabus He has his tuner shop here in Los Angeles. Give him a call. You can but directly from him. RBtech tuning 1 213 741-0511 Good luck guido
