Aux Fan issue
92 500 sl. The aux fan comes on as soon as you start the car along with the air conditioning. If you turn the air off the fans will go off. Anyone have the same or similar issue if so what is the necessary repair? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The fans switch on at low speed when the A/C is turned-on and the outside temperature is 86 degrees or warmer. They switch on at high speed if the refrigerant pressure or engine coolant temperature are high. So, when you first start your car on a cool day with the A/C on the fans should be off.

I'm having the opposite problem. The fans won't come on whether the AC is on or not. Its causing the fan to overheat. Please help! Thanks.
