1988 560SL need new convertible top

contemplating replacing my soft top. Is it a difficult job? any special tools required? Where is the best place to purchase a soft top in california or phoenix area? looking for best quality and of course competitive pricing.

The job is pretty involved for a do-it-yourselfer, if you aren't experienced. If you are thinking about having it done in Phoenix, there is a place called the Top Shop, that is highly regarded. The dealer referred me to them, among many others.

Thanks for the reply. Considering purchasing an easyon top or robbins top. the robbins top is far more expensive. Any Advice?

Yes, same advice as before: search the forum.
There is a long thread on the comparitive merits of the various top manufacturers.
