Another MB in the barn 1983 380SEC

I purchased this car with 147 on the clock, which I guess is okey for this Gem
I would like input pro and con on this car so it can help me with this project.
the only issue at present is the rear control arm is rusted out where the schock is fitted but i have two aluminum ones to replace these, any input
will be appreciated....

First we need pics! The only serious problem with the pre-84 380's is the single timing chain. Most have been updated by now, and yours PROBABLY is, but you'd better check. You can see it thru the oil fill cap, if you use a dentist's mirror, or better, if the PO informed you and you have the receipt from the work. Otherwise, other than rust, if they've been maintained, they are pretty much bulletproof. How about some pics? Ned.
