Door cards

Hi lads, how you doing
I'm trying to remove the door cards from a 1972 350sl euro, i have read a very good thread by Strife, but this early car has wind up windows and a combined door handle and arm rest.
I've got the top of the door handle off by the door lock and one screw that holds the arm rest on, but i can see know visable means to release the second screw in the back part of the arm rest which is holding the card to the door, also the window winding handle, it looks to me that this is attached to the spindle by means of a spline, is there a trick to removing this.
Good luck
Pete

Look at the back of the crank. If there is a metal tang toward the top of handle, use a small srew driver to push it out. This should release the top of the insert. You will have to push on the insert to remove it from the shaft. Then you should see how to complete the removal. This is the same as the convert. top cover release handle.

Thanks Rowdie
I think i've sorted the winder, the one on the drivers side is as it should be, the one on the passenger side appears to be wedged on the spindle, soaked it in WD40 and will have a pop at it tomorrow.
Any ideas on the door handle/armrest screw would be handy.
Good luck
Pete

Hello Irshmerc, do you know any O'leary's, or Oshea's. I'm the grandson of Patric O'leary, and Mini Oshea.... One of the families were from County Cork, the other from Couny Kerry.......
