Thx for the lead on that car. I have been trying to be a good boy and not spend too much time on craig's list. That was how I got this poor thing.
The car came home on Saturday morning and I spent time yesterday getting acquainted with the engine compartment. The mangled sheet metal was cut off by the shop. They cut the hood wiring and the temp sensor. Both are fixable. The cut the broken brake lines to the ABS, I will need to source replacements for those and a picture of a healthy ABS unit to figure out where the lines go. The car now has a 560 radiator, which doesn't fit, but it's water tight. I used the original overflow tank. It has four openings on it. - Big one to the radiator - little one on the filler neck to the radiator - little one on the top, has a metal insert exposed - little one on the bottom pointing towards the passenger compartment What do I do with those last two? There is a hose from under the engine controls area that has a 129 part number painted on it. Looks like a basic 7mm black line. What is it for, what does it connect to? For the ignition, one of the coils was torn from the wiring and one is still attached. It seems that both coils have a red/white wire attached to one stud (right?), while one coil has a pair of black/yellow wires going to the 2nd stud while the other coil has a pair of black wires going to the 2nd stud. Which coil goes to which cylinder bank? I can't think of why it would matter though. Four questions is enough for today. Thx -CTH |
nobody have a clue about those last questions? Thx -CTH
