questions regarding 92sl

I am looking to buy a 92 sl it has 78m miles and the owner wants 8500firm It looks great and does need some new plastic widows or top. also a hood pad and 2 tires. is this a decent price for the car. The car runs great and ac works it has a rear wing and hardtop and windscreen. It is a 2 owner car. The brakes are going to need replacing shortly even though the light is not on for brake pad warning. How much to replace the rear plastic windows and how much for brakes. Thanks Jimbo

In this market $8500 seems high for a '92. $6500 -$7000 seems more appropriate.

Indeed, if you are patient $8500 in this market should get you a nice 94-95 SL320 with better engine, more torque, better gas mileage, and better diagnostic system.
