Early W107 to Late W107 Spring Differences

Looking at lowering springs for the W107 and there's only two options. B&G, or SPAX (UK). Both companies make a 107 sports spring, but only for the 72-84 SL/SLC. Is the 86-89 560SL that different? Also no listing for the 500SL. I assume it has to do with weight.....

560 SL uses 124 class suspension components

It's my understanding that the 560's use the suspension from the 124 class sedans so they would use totally different springs.
I thought seriously about spax but got a LOT of negative feedback.Plus shipping from UK supplier is several hundred dollars.Mine is still stock,I hope to go to a koni sport shock but leave the springs alone real soon!

I tried finding the '86-'89 560SL (107.048) in my FSM to see how they compared with my 380SL (107.045) but the 107.048 isn't listed among the many variations of the 107 model suspension combos. I THINK the 560SL has a much different suspension but aren't 100% certain. I'd be wary of trying to shoe-horn in the wrong parts, but maybe somebody who knows will chime in. Sorry not to be of more help. Ned

I used 450 SLC springs and cut ( with a band saw) a coil and a half off the bottom lowering my 83 280 SL 2 inches.
The ride is just a bit stiffer but the handling is vastly improved.
And I love the new look.
