107 RUST

Greeting Forum Members,

Does anyone know why the bodies on the older cars rust out inside at the outside forward corners of the foot wells and outside at the bottom of the front fenders where they meet the rocker panels?
Is there a drain inside the body cavity in that area that fails?
Is there an area on the fire wall that traps water that seeps down a seam?
I would like to know before I repair my floor corners and rockers.

Thank in advance for all replys,

Knarf
