sluggish door locks
My 1977 450sl seems to lock o.k at times, other times the right door lock is inop completely. I removed the door panel and lubed all the control rods. it seems to work now but the lock is sluggish and doesn't look like the inside door button closes all the way. Any suggestions?

I bet it's probably the vacuum cylinder. When they get old, the leak intermittently for awhile before they go completely. Not an expensive item but you will have to take off the door panel again. It's either that or some other vacuum leak.
