'85 500 SL (Euro) Antenna Part # Neecded

I need the part number for the Entire Antenna Assembly for an '85 500SL (Euro). About ten years ago I discarded the entire antenna assembly for my SL, before realizing you could get the parts for the antenna mast and fix the silly thing. I've been making do with an old aftermarket antenna that finally gave up the ghost. Am trying to get back to the OE antenna if I can find one available, but can't get hold of the part # for it.

I've pulled a couple antennas off vehicles, only to find various problems with them. The biggest problem I've encountered is the stock antenna on my 500SL has THREE wires. The US versions (at least ones I've come across) have FIVE wires.

I am flat out unable to find an antenna with a THREE-wire connector. So, I need the part number off of one which is installed if someone would go to the trouble to crane their neck to find it for me.

Or, if someone has access to a Euro parts database, and can search it the VIN is WDB1070461A026144. Local MB dealer is not very helpful. Go figure.

I will really appreciate the assistance.

Kind regards,

Don

I have a 3-wire hirschmann that I rebuilt after installing a new one. All it needed was a new mast. whuch was available on e-bay. The previous owner had done a real bad job of installing it, so the problem looked worse than it actually was. I was able to get it fully functional with a new mast. The price of the masts has gone up since then. I'll sell this one for $25.00 plus shipping. PM me if you're interested.
