Parting out 1974 450SL

There are parts that are serviceable. Anything from the soft top cover to brakes, brake lines. Transmission is serviceable. Engine parts down to the pistons, cams, brand new chain ect.

There are parts that are difficult to find that you might need. There is a time constraint to meet and until then I am parting this car out. I will not had it in the shop for an excessive amount of time. Space is needed.
I will continue this post.

Panda: I don't quite know of a brass nut. I am familiar with the brass wing nut.

yea I know , the original 72 had what is shown in the thread I referenced. It is round, and about a 1/4 to 1/2 in width so I know this is the original set up

Ron. My '72 and '73 both have the round one. Neither is brass. The '72 which is still original appears to have been anodized or some other coating at one time.

I think your description of the engine means you no longer have the MPS or ECU - if I am wrong, are you selling those? I am collecting spare parts.

Everything is for sale to include the ECU, MPS. Every bit of wiring, switches and anything electrical. Anything Mechanical.

I have timing chains, Pistons, transmission, you name it.

Transmission is 'serviceable' What does that mean?

Would you take that transmission and put it into one of your own cars? I'm interested if you would
