Belden/NAPA spark plug wires?
Hey guys,
I'm getting ready to replace the spark plug wires on my 380sl, and I've been reading good things about the NAPA/Belden Premium wires, which are about 1/2 the price of Bosch. But I don't know yet whether the resistance of the Belden's match the Bosch's, or whether the sales guy can even tell me that, because NAPA's closed today. So I was wondering if anybody has had any experience with Belden wires. Thanks very much in advance. |

At $33.00 you get what you pay for.

They're good wires, I have had them on various cars in the past. Belden makes decent wiring products for the money paid, I have never had an issue with any Belden product as long as I can remember. Just make sure that if your car takes non resistor type plugs that you get wires that do have them in there. I am not sure if the beldens have that or not, or if you're looking at more universal kits.
Source: used to work at napa and sell these alongside many other brands of wire.

Here's an update on the Belden wires. I called Belden, and the tech told me they don't have any resistors in the plug connectors. So I decided to leave well enough alone, and go with the OE Bosch.
Take care. |
