We lost a great car guy, RIP Dad

I know this forum is not exactly for these kinds of posts, but I consider so many of you my buddies. Car guys stick together..

I lost my dad this past weekend, he was 89. Was still at it until a few weeks ago, his end came quickly , which was a blessing. He gave me my love of cars, he had all types, he loved his Lincolns most , but his early years he owned Buicks. He never much was a mechanic, but loved the lure of the car, and took care of every one he owned. He was a stickler for perfection.

So here's to you dad , sure have enjoyed the ride together ,someday we will cruise down the highway again, till then I'll keep the garage lights on.....

May your memories bring peace to cut through the loss, Ron. I'm glad you had him for such a long time -- and that he was a car guy, too.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Thank you for sharing the memories of your dad with us. One of the gifts of the love you and your dad shared will be the sound of his voice in your mind saying many of the things he always said. My Dad left me in 1992, I think of him fondly, and hear his voice nearly everyday giving me the sage advice he always gave so well. Salute to your Dad for a life well lived. And to you for recognizing him as the great man he will always be. Tracy
