Factory radar detector

My 560sl has a built in factory radar detector that goes off when ever i start the car or drive by a building with auto doors. Does anybody know where its locater so i can disconnect it? Thanks

My '86 had one also. Useless and annoying. I removed the head unit and traced the wires but can't remember where is was located. You might look for non factory wires under the hood.
Not factory but likely a dealer installed option when new. Like the pin stripes.
It is not listed on the window sticker.
