What is the red top brass vacuum switch near the warm up regulator
I was doing a bit of work on my 83 SL and broke the two small male vacuum line stubs off the red topped/brass vacuum switch just behind the warm up regulator on my 83 380 SL.
Can anyone tell me what this is (so I can order a replacement)? The only markings on it are the letters CARB. Has anyone successfully repaired one of these when the plastic vacuum line male stubs break off? Brian in Austin |

It's a 50 degree celsius vacuum switch. I forget whether it opens or closes at that temperature. You can buy one right here at Peachparts.
Pelican Parts - Automotive Parts and Accessories - Porsche & BMW I don't think they're repairable when they break like that.
