exhaust systems

Anyone have any experience with aftermarket exhausts, like supersprint, borla, remus, etc., on a 450sl? I haven't been able to find anything on the internet for anything but fairly new cars. Are these sytems even available for 450s?

ya... try www.timevalve.com they have a complete stainless steel system and a very good reputation.

If you're looking for a performance exhaust, I don;t think they fall in this category.

muffler alternative

My local european auto supply store talked me in to a non oem muffler it turned out to be made by ANSA. The unit is not stainless with no chrome but sounds sweet and priced at $140

We carry Ansa exhaust pieces for your car. Ansa is very similar in appearance, price, and quality to Borla.

loud exhaust

Take it from me I learned my lesson. I purchased an aftermarket exhaust system ( No Name) and I regretted it. Car sounded like I was racing in the 16 wheeler 500. I finally replaced everything with MBZ parts. Phew! at last its right after replacing #4 fuel injector and having car retimed.
