R129 model

Can anyone shed any light as to where I can obtain a realistic model (diecast) of the R129? I have searched everywhere and most model manufacturers but have found little. Any scale bigger than 1:43 would be ideal (particularly a Silver Arrow), but 1:43 would suffice.

Maisto used to make a R129 years ago, back when the R129 was new. I bought a 1:18 scale from eBay couple of years ago. I have not seen a R129 in circulation in any store, so your best bet is to look at eBay to see anyone selling theirs.

Thanks for this idea, much appreciated. It just seems so bizarre that such a model appears to have been "neglected" by so many manufacturers. One would have thought that demand would have been particularly strong for such a long running and desirable vehicle. Oh well, c'est la vie.

I have a realistic Majorette 1:18 model of the 500SL, in the two-tone red finish. Looks like the 1990-1991 version, with the 7-bar grill. Never saw another one. I bought this one at a store that was going out of business a few years back.
