Red face can't get right

My 1992 500sl runs with what seems to be a miss but when i turn on the ac it runs fine but as soon as i turn the ac off it starts to run with the loathe again anyone please help!

I am not sure on that particular model, but on most cars when you run the AC, the idle gets kicked up a little.

I know nothing about that model, but on some cars, the timing gets retarded at idle for emission reasons. But with a/c on this doesn't happen perhaps because load slows engine down. Dealer or good MB mechanic with proper equipment should be able to diagnose.
