cruise control - quick question

After studying the past posts here and on the Tech Help Forum, I'm pretty sure I need a cruise control amp.

I'd really appreciate any and all advice on how to proceed economically here...go OEM parts, remanufactured (re-soldered) parts, what's going to be economical now and in the future?

thanks in advance.

Tom

As a matter of fact, yes I have.
It isn't hard at all.
You need a soldering iron with a good tip and some good lighting so you see what you do.

Took me maybe 30 minutes from start to finish inluding removal/installation of the stuff to get to the box.

RE cruise control

another good trouble shooting guide is at www.GDL-online.com They also offer rebuilds of your current amplifier/actuator, offer a 4 year warranty at a price less than a rebuild. Also very helpful on the phone. I tried the resolder trick, sent it in, it tested bad. Rebuilding now. Total time out of the car will be about a week.
