my C107 1977
I just got my dream SLC and while doing my once over, I locked passenger door with key. I opened lock inside and heard a snap and metal drop inside door. Now the door opens only from inside and the outside lever won't open door - what did I break??? Help greatly appreciated. Tried using key but now it won't lock as the driver door clicks when locks. I also think my vacuumed doesn't work which for now is fine just would like to know what I have to do to fix so door at least opens from outside and can lock with key or inside push lock. Thank you in advance.

you will have to remove door panel, you will most likely see that the mechanism has become disconnected from its vacuum activated lever , or the lock mechanism, lever mechanism that articulates with the lock system has broken. All of it is fairly simple to fix, parts can be found as well
Take off the panel and let us know Congrats on the new car
