Will this motor swap work?

Can you swap a motor from a 79 450 SEL into an 83 380 sl? Looks pretty similar on first blush. Both are dual overhead cam and fuel injected. I can get a motor and tranny for less than $500. Supposedly low miles but aren't they all.

Waste of time or no? My 380 needs a valve job so I thought this might be a cheaper alternative.
