bosch plugs & NGK plug wires OK together?
Hello. I'm thinking of putting new Bosch spark plugs and NGK plug wires together in my 1985 380SL. Reason: the NGK wires are much less expensive than the Bosch. Is this an OK combination? Or should I use all Bosch or all NGK? Car has Bosch plugs now. Thanks.

NGK is a good company

I've run both Bosch and NGK in my last few vehicles and the NGK's always seem to last longer, produce a smoother idle, and ever so slightly better fuel consumption (1mpg or so).
The SL is running Champion plugs on Bosch wires, so I can't really comment on their use in a Benz, but I've had great luck with NGK's in other vehicles.

Either combination will be fine. I would use standard plugs from either manufacturer, not their upgraded versions.

I actually prefer NGK plugs in my MBs. Both make quality products. Wires are compatible
