Rear subframe swap 560SL to a 450SLC

Was is loss Gentlemen ?
I would like to update my 450SLC rear subframe with a 560SL subframe & all that goes it; brake rotor to brake rotor, hubs, axles, LSD, alloy swingarms, mounts, etc . . .
I've located a good donor 560SL.
Is this possible ? Easy or not I would like the upgraded suspension, LSD, alloy swingarms, etc...
A 560 motor & a 722.6 is in the plans down the road + more. I've found lowered springs, camber bushings, HD Bilsteins, & upgraded brakes as well. What am I looking @ for the rear subframe swap ? A 560SLC KOMPRESSOR is my goal. Thank You Gentlemen !
Sincerely
Rev. Buzz

I'm pretty sure that a 560SL sub frame will not work on a 450SLC. The diff will swap over but not the sub frame.

I don't think that even the diff will swap over. Here are a few points:

SLC and SL have different rear subframes (even if the rear control arms might crossover).

The 86-89 560sl have a different rear subframe than the 72-85 r107 models.

The rear mount for a 560sl differential is off centered, on the driver side.

The SLC rear subframe is the same as the w114/115 models and some w123 models.

The anti-dive / anti-squat was available with aluminum rear control arms in all varieties of 107 (c107, gen1 r107, gen2 r107), and I ASSUME that it would be possible to put the anti-dive systems and control arms into any model of willing to strip down the entire rear subframe.

I've got two 560sl parts cars that I'm stripping down and would be interested in an LSD rear differential for my 5.0 SLC. I might even be interesting in putting the anti-squat/dive rear end into my 280sl.

107 LSD

I am no expert by any means. The learning curve is still quite steep for me. I am repeating this I heard .
" a lsd in a 560sel 2. 47 or maybe 2.65is 210mm chunk
& 107 diffs are 210mm. A very experienced rearend man can swap the guts from the 560sel to a 107 rearend. The traction control part is left out. "
I am not 100% on this but have double & triple check this with positive conformation. Do your homework !! I picked up a 560sel lsd @ my local pick n pull 2 years ago on a 50% sale. Took 4 metal hacksaw blades in the rain, but I got one with the axles. I hope this is of some help. Thank You for the advice. I've got a lot more to learn !

I wonder if you can take the guts from a 560sl diff, or the whole diff and mount it on an earlier 107. I don't know.

Perhaps you had "Vas ist Los?" in mind. [Literally, "What is loose/wrong/amiss?"; figuratively, "What's up?"]

The simplest solution for this situation is:
1) For the diff, use any 81-85 380/500SL or SE center section that has a LSD. All are 2.47:1. OR, use the internals from the 560SL/SE diffs, in your case. Also 2.47.
2) For the trailing arms, install all the 560SL components in your subframe.
