W107 power window switch removal

Do I just put a flat screwdriver under it and pop it up?

For a 1985 280sl.

Thanks

Check out the below tech article from our website. I hope you'll find it useful in troubleshooting your power window issue. Best of luck!

You risk damaging the finish on the wood that way. I pop them from underneath.
1. Remove ashtray.
2. Remove ashtray frame by remove two screws at the front. Tilt out right side first then unplug on left.
3. remove two screws at front of wood. Push wood panel back to release the plastic pin. Many break the pin by just lifting the panel.

You may be able to reach under and release the switch.

Why did you post about replacing motor when he asked about removing the switch?

center counsel removal

Rowdie: Just to be sure of what I am reading

If I do as you say, the plastic walnut center counsel will lift up?

Thanks

Dan

It is not plastic. It is a veneered wood laminate. That is why I cautioned that trying to pry up might damage it. It will lift up if you follow the instructions and the rear pin releases. Hopefully the side view mirrors switch will pop up at the front so you can unplug it.

power window switch

OK--thanks

BTW, when I try to use power mirror switch, the mirror jiggles and clicks but does not adjust. Any thoughts?

Dan
