Question EHA Valve

Hi I need help please,I've got a SL 500 Euro Speck, and my EHA valve is seeping gas, I've changed the 'O' rings and I remember reading a post saying if the return fuel line is blocked then this can cause the problem, can someone tell me how to clear out the return fuel line please. Thanks.

Disregard whatever you may have read. You need an EHA valve. They leak because there are additional O-rings that are epoxy potted within the body of the valve that will leak with time.

Given the CIS stuff is bound to be getting difficult to find and $$, I wonder:

If the VW valve would work.

If a block could be machined and a needle valve be used effectively turning the system into a K jet where the shape of the air flow meter funnel dictates the fuel curve.

If a electric fuel injector could be used as a replacement valve. 80 and later SAAB and probably Volvo used this. It was located on the left inner fender and was called a " buzz valve " as is cycled anytime the key was on.

Granted, it is much easier to find the proper part and bolt it on.

THAT is a good question. I had to replace mine, which was a simple job aside from the cost. I should be good to do for the duration [mine] but several guys in our local Benz Club section have 560SL's. If there is ever an answer about the potential VW valve alternative, please follow up. We'd all appreciate it!
