Lower grills are still available. 107 888 11 23, left. 107 888 12 23, right. $48.00 each MSRP. $36.00 at discount dealers sites. https://www.oediscountparts.com/parts/index.cfm?searchText=107+888+11+23&make=Mercedes-Benz&action=oePartSearch&siteid=215242.

Hood ornament is the same as the North American models. I think all of the current ones are plastic.

Trunk badge is no longer available.

IF OEdiscountparts isn't able to supply the parts you need, SL Shop in UK is another possible source for non-USA spec car parts. There are also German sites.

The SL Shop - Europe's leading Mercedes-Benz SL Specialist

SLS Im- und Export Handelsgesellschaft mbH - Online Shop

Good sources. I have not ordered from the SL Shop but I have from the German site. Small parts and mailing was very reasonable.

Regarding the trunk lid script is the part number for that MB # 113 817 04 15 ?

It seems your vehicle is a 107 but perhaps MB used the same script that they used on the 113 280 SL Pagoda cars?

Not sure if 280slc badges are still available, but I was comparing one to an SL badge and ended up helping sell it to someone who was going to cut the C off to achieve the goal.

OP asked about 280SL not 280SLC

The 280SLC badge idea is a workaround if an original is not to be found.

Ironic username.

He will probably be back, as it appears he's been around for a while, not just a one-post-bandit. He's probably "still at it". Damn that's an easy pun.

Still at it

Hi all have been working out of the country. Please understand that I greatly appreciate all the help you all have given me over the past few years. Of late my work has made it difficult to get much work on the car done . I really appreciate the part numbers for the car it makes it much easier to chase them down sooo again thank you all
