380SL switch lights

I had the switches out of the dash the ones above the heater control unit dome light, rear window defog and antenna. I found the light wires in the back of them but just hanging there. Any insight where they plug in to be functional again please

Are you saying the black plastic plugs are missing and the switch wires hanging? Or are you referring to the back fiber optic lights? The fiber optic lines are inserted into a hole in the switches. If they don't light up trace them back to the spider connection. The bulb may be burned out.

Ok apparently I am missing the spider connection because they are in the holes on the switches and hanging from them as well as the two wires from the air on/off switch.

The "spider" connection is for the fiber optic lines. It is rubber and has a bulb in the center. The lines have a small brass end. They provide illumination for the upper switches. You will have to remove the lower dash cover on the left to see this.

Are the other wires hanging loose or are they still in the black plastic plugs that connect them to the switches?

You need to post pictures.

I think I found where they go on the back of the climate control panel. There are slots on the back and the ends fit in them and there is a light bulb in the middle of the slots.

ok

I did the antenna, courtesy light and rear window switches. The rear window wire runs over and above the passengers side kick pane which I haven't taken down yet. Also is there a part number for this spider seems no one know what I am talking about and looks like it may be missing. There was a string of 4 lights 3 to the climate control and one left over behind it.
