Nardi adapter for 1977 SLC
I see Nardi adapters for 72-76 and for 78 to 88 SL and SLCs.
What do I need for a 1977 450 SLC? Also anyone got one for sale or trade?

72-76 are 15mm spline. 78-88 are 21mm spline. You should determine yourself which you need.

My 1977 was sold March 7th. Serial number 107044-12-016297
I have the original sales sheet, the build sheet, and the data plate. Where would I look? I really don't want to take the like new (34,000 mile) original steering wheel until I have a Nardi and an adapter. I really like to drive this bad boy, very fast for a 1977 vehicle.

Found the best Nardi thread over at Nardi Dilemma - Page 11 - Mercedes-Benz Forum
Looks like the 390 MM would be better than a 360, and I don't have to take the steering wheel off, the 15mm uses a 22 mm socket, the 21 mm uses a 27mm socket. Great info. So all I have to do is take off the "Remove plastic Mercedes center emblem with a plastic tool or a screwdriver; pry under edge" Measure the nut and order adapter. Every older Mercedes I have had, like the 1969 300 SEL 6.3, has had a Nardi, just like the look. Last edited by breastroker; 09-30-2017 at 06:17 PM.

That was easy, I have a 22mm nut. But I have a 21, 24 26 and 30 mm sockets and no 22 so off to the auto store.
So much easier than taking the wheel off. Now I just have to get the 3020 adaptor Last edited by breastroker; 09-22-2017 at 05:32 PM.

I ordered the 390 mm Nardi, unfortunately couldn't find an old style 3320 adapter so I had to get one of the new accordion looking adapters.
I have a Mercedes Tri Star Nardi horn button, but it looks plain. I had a spare Nissan Nardi horn button, cut off the top 1/8 inch and glued a 129 Mercedes Laurel hood badge on it. Have to figure how to put a picture here but it looks pretty nice.
