Info on r129 manual transmission?

I heard they had a dogleg 5 speed like the 16v 190e. Is this true and does anyone know the part number or specs for this transmission?

3.0 k-jetronic m104 with dogleg close ratio getrag transmission. Early 1990’s and was available for US models (not just Euro like wast he case for pretty much all SL models since the end of the w113).

I have one. Not sure what specs you want, but can look in the manual if you wish.
FWIW, this is a great combination. Lots of people disagree, but the trans shifts great(except reverse and who cares about going backwards) and the M104 loves to rev. Makes for a great handling, fun to drive but heavy sports car.

If you could look into that it would be amazing. I have a 107 that I'm putting a M104 and I'm throwing around the idea of a manual swap. A local yard has a wrecked 129 with the 5 speed and I'm thinking I may pick it up. Our 190 also has a manual but its the 2.6 in house deigned normal one and although fine for what we do with it there are some things left to be desired especially with the shift feel.

EDIT: Managed to dig up some info myself it is the 717.451 but I'm not sure how well that holds up. But then it does appear to have come in some 124s so it can probably hold up to a stock 3.6 M104. I might run into issues down the road however.

The gear ratio for 717.451 Getrag:
1 4.151
2 2.523
3 1.687
4 1.239
5 1.000

I have this in my 300SL and mated a '96 3.6M104 to it. This tranny is one of stronger ones out there, I have not run into any issues with it.
