Oil filter wrench 93 V12.

What size does this need? I see 72, 79mm. quoted.

Just a wrench won't really do it, not to do it "right". You need a filter wrench, maybe you can find a non-MB tool that will work. It's the same tool used on the 103/104 engines, also the new modular V8's and V6's. Need that and a super-long 3/8th drive extension.

600 filter wrench

Have the long extension and wobble but need cup device measurement to get the right size i.e. the tranverse measurement.

Phelan:
It's just as much the shape as the size. If you want, you can do a search on this subject, I know there were some threads concerning this subject, but for 103 and 104 filter wrenches, there were some model numbers given of some aftermarket cups that work on these motors, and yours uses the same tool as a 103 and 104.

I bought mine on ebay several months ago. The same firm has them on ebay almost all the time---except right now---but I expect you can email them and get one.

Take a look at:

Travis, also with 120 engine and lovin' it...
